Visitors receive a guided tour through Bethlehem at The Nativity Experience 2009

Tickets go on sale Friday, November 20 for the popular Christmas production, "The Nativity Experience," at Glad Tidings Church in Moncton.

Currently in its ninth season, this year’s musical runs December 11, 12, and 13.

Entitled "A baby changes everything," the drama is directed by actor/musician Luke Anderson, a McSweeney’s dinner theatre alumnus.

Music and Arts Pastor Kristin Pollard says Christmas is the time of year when families are looking for good quality entertainment at a reasonable price. He says the program has something for everyone and hopes it will help supply deeper meaning to a season often wrapped up in commercialism.

"We want families to come and enjoy the Christmas story with us," he says. "We have visitors that come from as far west as Sussex, as far south as Amherst and as far north as the Miramichi, but most of our audience is right here in Greater Moncton. We’re honoured to be part of our community’s yearly tradition."

With 1800 tickets available for the three-night event, organizers are expecting a full house this year. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door, $5 for children (12 and under). They can be purchased at the Glad Tidings ticket outlet, 2460 Mountain Road, Moncton (open Mon - Fri 9 am -5 pm, Saturday 10 am-3 pm), online at TheNativityExperience.com, or by calling 857-2255.
